Parcel Delivery Across Europe ITALIAN

What Parcel Delivery Covers

Parcel delivery covers packaged goods, consumer items, and business consignments collected from the origin address and delivered directly to the destination — no depot drop-off required.

Standard door-to-door collection is included through the parcel collection service. Senders who prefer to hand parcels in at a carrier point can use the parcel drop-off service instead. Consignments typically fall under 30 kg for courier-range parcel delivery.

Both standard and express courier delivery transit options are available depending on the route and required timeline. Standard delivery is suitable for non-urgent parcels where cost control matters. Express delivery is used when the parcel has a tighter delivery window, such as urgent stock, replacement parts, or time-sensitive customer orders.

Parcels that must arrive the following working day move through next day parcel delivery in Europe on eligible routes. Exact transit time depends on the route, collection time, carrier partner, and destination country. Weight, dimensions, route, and service speed are the main parcel shipping price factors.

Common shipment types include retail goods, product samples, spare parts, and business correspondence. For documents and sensitive paperwork, document and envelope courier is the more appropriate option.

Parcel delivery is also suitable for eCommerce stores, online sellers, small retailers, and businesses sending regular customer orders across Europe. Typical examples include Shopify orders, Amazon seller shipments, Etsy parcels, replacement items, and small B2B product deliveries. Sellers dispatching many parcels at once use bulk parcel delivery to combine collections under one booking.

European Routes Covered

Parcel delivery is available across Western, Central, and Northern Europe. Key markets include Germany, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Austria, Italy, Spain, and Poland. Coverage across wider Europe is available through the carrier partner network, confirmed at the time of booking.

Service availability on any specific route depends on shipment type, timing, and partner capacity. Germany and France, the two largest EU economies and both direct neighbours of Belgium, are served through dedicated options for parcel delivery to Germany and parcel delivery to France. Within the Benelux, parcel delivery to the Netherlands and parcel delivery to Luxembourg connect Belgium with its two partners in the Benelux economic union.

Southern routes cover parcel delivery to Italy and parcel delivery to Spain, where longer road distances add transit days. Central European lanes include parcel delivery to Austria and parcel delivery to Poland. Parcel delivery to Ireland combines road transport with a sea crossing, which adds time to the route.

Parcels sent to the United Kingdom cross a customs border after Brexit, so parcel delivery to the UK includes commercial invoice and EORI support.

Preparing Your Parcel for Collection

Parcels must be packed securely. Packaging depends on item type, weight, and handling requirements.

• Use strong outer packaging for boxed goods
• Cushion fragile items: electronics, samples, spare parts
• Clear labeling of sender and receiver

Incorrect or fragile packaging may cause delays, damage, or refusal by the carrier. Box strength, void fill, and label position are the main checks when packing a parcel for courier transit. Phones, laptops, and other devices need shock-absorbing protection, which electronics parcel delivery is arranged to provide.

How Parcel Delivery Is Arranged

The service operates through a logistics arranger model. Go Trans does not own a delivery fleet — it connects customers with the most suitable carrier partner based on route and consignment profile. Parcel delivery is one part of the courier service in Belgium that Go Trans arranges for cross-border shipments, alongside document, express, and same-day options.

The process works in 4 steps:

1. Submit your shipment details. Provide the collection address, delivery address, dimensions, weight, and required timeline through the quote page.
2. A suitable carrier partner is identified. From DSV, DHL, DPD, UPS, and FedEx, the most appropriate carrier for your route is selected.
3. Collection and delivery are arranged. The carrier collects from your address and delivers door-to-door to the destination.
4. Tracking is provided throughout. A tracking reference is issued on confirmation, giving full visibility from collection to final delivery.

For larger consignments or dedicated-load requirements, pallet delivery and freight services are available as alternatives.

Choosing the Right Service for Your Shipment

Parcel delivery suits consignments typically under 30 kg requiring door-to-door collection. Weight, volume, and delivery access are the three factors that decide which delivery service to choose between parcel, pallet, and van. Use the table below to identify the most suitable option before booking.

Weight thresholds are indicative. The right service is confirmed based on dimensions, packaging, route, and delivery requirements. Bulky or heavier boxes that exceed standard courier limits are handled through heavy parcel delivery before pallet transport becomes necessary.

Reliability and Tracking

Every parcel shipment includes tracking through the assigned carrier's system from collection to final delivery. A tracking reference is issued once the shipment is confirmed — no additional setup required.

Carrier partners are selected based on route performance and consignment suitability. DSV, DHL, DPD, UPS, and FedEx each operate established European route networks.

Shipments are handled through a single point of contact, with access to multiple carrier options without being locked to one provider. For businesses with regular cross-border parcel volumes, ongoing arrangements can be discussed through the same contact point.
