Can different types of cargo travel together in the same vehicle?

General cargo types — different product categories, different commodities — can travel together in the same groupage vehicle. The restriction applies at the ADR level: a single ADR-classified item on a general cargo vehicle makes the entire vehicle subject to full ADR rules. Mixed temperature requirements cannot be combined without physical segregation — chilled and ambient cargo cannot share an unpartitioned reefer vehicle. For customs purposes, each distinct commodity on the commercial invoice must carry its own commodity code regardless of how many product types share the same consignment.
