How does a swap body transfer from a truck to a rail wagon at an intermodal terminal?

At an intermodal terminal, a Type C swap body moves from a truck chassis to a rail wagon using a reach stacker, a portal crane (RMG or RTG), or a tilt-frame road vehicle that hydraulically raises the body from below. The driver departs the terminal as soon as the handling equipment takes the body's weight — there is no requirement to wait for rail loading to complete. At the destination terminal, a truck chassis collects the body using the same equipment and completes the road delivery leg.
