What happens if no one is available at the delivery address?

The carrier records the failed attempt and notifies the consignee by card, email, or SMS. A second delivery attempt follows on the next working day in most cases, or the carrier redirects the shipment to a nearby parcel shop or access point at the consignee's request. Shipments that cannot be delivered after repeated attempts are returned to the sender, with return carriage charged at the standard rate for the service used.
