A half euro pallet (EUR 6) measures 800mm × 600mm — exactly half the euro pallet footprint in the shorter dimension, covering 0.48 m² of floor space compared to 0.96 m² for a full euro pallet. Two half euro pallets placed end to end reproduce the footprint of one standard euro pallet. They fit directly onto standard euro pallet warehouse racking at half the depth. Half euro pallets are used in retail distribution for smaller product quantities, in supermarket replenishment where a full euro pallet would occupy excess floor space, and in consumer goods and beverage supply chains where shipment weight is low relative to package count. Carriers handling standard euro pallet freight can generally accommodate half pallets on the same vehicle without special equipment.
