A proof of delivery is an external carrier document confirming that the consignment was delivered to and accepted by the recipient — it is part of the carrier's legal and operational record for the shipment. A goods receipt slip is an internal warehouse document generated by the recipient's own system when goods are accepted into stock. Both record the same receipt event from opposite sides: the carrier's and the recipient's.
