What is the difference between broadcast logistics and hub-and-spoke distribution?

Hub-and-spoke distribution consolidates goods at an intermediate depot before sorting and dispatching to final destinations — each consignment passes through the hub. Broadcast logistics sends directly from the origin to each destination without an intermediate consolidation point. Hub-and-spoke adds a sorting and transfer step; broadcast logistics eliminates it by dispatching each destination load directly from the origin.
