Spare parts for halted production lines, JIT components that missed their scheduled delivery, medical and pharmaceutical supplies, legal documents with same-day deadlines, and customs-cleared goods requiring immediate onward movement are the most common types. Urgent transport is not suited to abnormal or oversized loads requiring specialist equipment with advance planning — those movements need a different booking process with a longer lead time built in.
