Do retail stores have a forklift available for deliveries?

Most retail stores do not have a forklift on site. Cases and cartons are hand-balled from the vehicle into the stockroom by the driver and store staff. Pallet-sized shop delivery consignments require a tail-lift vehicle to lower the load to street level, and the shipper must confirm at the booking stage that the store's access allows the goods to be moved from the vehicle door to the stockroom without powered lifting equipment.
