What does order receipt mean?

An order receipt is a different document from a delivery receipt. An order receipt confirms that a purchase order has been accepted by the seller — it is generated at the point of sale, before goods move. A delivery receipt confirms that the physical goods were received by the buyer at the delivery address — it is generated at the end of the freight journey, when the driver presents the consignment and the recipient signs.
