This Go Trans privacy policy explains how GO TRANS BELGIUM SRL collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you request a quote, book a shipment, or contact the team.
GO TRANS BELGIUM SRL is the data controller for personal data processed through go-trans.be and the Go Trans service.
Personal data reaches Go Trans through the quote form, the contact form, your account, and direct contact by phone or email.
The names, addresses, and contact details in the quote form are required to arrange a shipment. Without them, Go Trans cannot book the transport.
Each use of personal data rests on a legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
| Purpose | Legal basis |

Go Trans does not sell personal data and does not use it for automated decisions with legal effects on you.
Personal data is shared only with the parties a shipment or the law requires.
Shipments to the United Kingdom, Türkiye, or other non-EU destinations involve sending personal data outside the EU. Some carrier partners are also part of groups headquartered outside the EU.
These transfers rely on an adequacy decision of the European Commission, such as the one for the United Kingdom, or on the safeguards the carrier applies, such as standard contractual clauses. Where neither applies, a transfer takes place only when it is necessary to perform the shipment you booked.
Personal data is kept only as long as its purpose requires.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
Send requests to trans@go-trans.be. Go Trans responds within 1 month of receiving the request.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.
Contacting Go Trans first lets the team resolve the issue directly.
Personal data is protected by an encrypted website connection (HTTPS) and by access restricted to the staff who handle bookings.
Go Trans services are intended for adults and businesses. Go Trans does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
Go Trans updates this policy when its data practices or the applicable law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
