These Go Trans terms and conditions apply to every shipment booked through Go Trans, the logistics brokerage operated by GO TRANS BELGIUM SRL.
These terms govern every quote, booking, and shipment arranged through go-trans.be, by phone, or by email. Booking a shipment means you accept these terms.
The carrier performing the transport also applies its own conditions of carriage, together with the international conventions that govern the transport.
GO TRANS BELGIUM SRL operates under the Go Trans name.

Transport booked through Go Trans is performed by a carrier partner, not by Go Trans. Go Trans owns no trucks, vans, depots, or warehouses.
Each shipment is booked with a carrier partner: DSV, DHL, DPD, UPS, or FedEx. All 5 carriers hold Community Licences under EU Regulation 1072/2009. The carrier collects, transports, and delivers the goods. Go Trans coordinates the booking, tracking, and any claim.
A quote is based on the shipment details you supply: the service, dimensions, weight, quantity, description, and addresses.
The confirmed price includes the base transport rate, the diesel surcharge, and applicable road tolls. Nothing is added after booking for the shipment as described. The diesel surcharge follows the European Commission Oil Bulletin.
A booking is confirmed once Go Trans confirms the price and service to you. Payment terms and cancellation conditions are confirmed with each booking.
You are responsible for:
Each carrier sets its own list of prohibited and restricted goods. Items such as cash, weapons, illegal substances, and undeclared dangerous goods are refused by every carrier partner.
Restricted goods, including alcohol, perishables, and dangerous goods, are accepted only on services that permit them and with the required documents. Go Trans confirms whether a carrier accepts the goods before booking.
Collection and delivery dates follow the booked service. Transit times for standard services are estimates. Only time-definite services commit to a delivery day.
The carrier issues a tracking number at collection. At delivery, the receiver checks the goods before signing. Visible damage or missing pieces must be written on the delivery note or CMR consignment note before signature.
The carrier performing the transport is liable for loss of, damage to, or delay of the goods in transit, within the limits of the conditions of carriage and international conventions that apply:
Road transport: the CMR convention, with liability limited to 8.33 SDR per kg of gross weight unless a higher value is declared on the consignment note.
Air transport: the Montreal Convention and the carrier's conditions of carriage.
Go Trans is liable for its own booking and coordination services. It is not liable as a carrier for goods in transit, and it is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost profit or lost business.
Neither Go Trans nor the carrier is liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by circumstances that could not be avoided or prevented. Examples include extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, border closures, government measures, and road or port closures.
Go Trans informs you when such an event affects your shipment and coordinates the next steps with the carrier.
Claims are raised through Go Trans, which coordinates them with the carrier. Under the CMR convention:
noted on the delivery document at delivery.
reported in writing within 7 days of delivery, excluding Sundays and public holidays.
reported in writing within 21 days of the goods being placed at the receiver's disposal.
1 year, or 3 years in cases of wilful misconduct.
Shipments between EU member states need no customs clearance. Shipments to or from countries outside the EU, including the United Kingdom and Türkiye, need export and import declarations.
Customs duties, import VAT, and other import taxes are not included in the transport price. They are payable by the importer of record, unless another arrangement is agreed in writing before booking.
Go Trans processes the personal data in quote forms, bookings, and messages to arrange and deliver your shipment. Shipment data is shared with the carrier performing the transport. Full details are set out in the Go Trans Privacy Policy.
Go Trans updates these terms when its services or the applicable law change. The version published on this page on the date of booking applies to that booking.
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Brussels, Belgium, without prejudice to the mandatory rights of consumers under the law of their country of residence.
