Delivery Times
Delivery times from Belgium for every Go Trans service, from same-day courier to road freight, with parcel transit by country.
Delivery times from Belgium range from same-day courier delivery inside a 300–400 km corridor to 1–5 days for parcels across the EU, with road freight transit set lane by lane. Express services deliver the next day. The destination country decides where a shipment falls inside each range.
What is the delivery time for each service?
Each Go Trans service has its own transit range, from same-day courier to multi-day road freight.
| Service | Delivery time from Belgium | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Same-day courier | Same day | Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, northern France |
| Express delivery | Next day, time-definite | Small parcels and documents across Europe |
| Document delivery | Same day to 3 days | Legal, financial and personal documents |
| Parcel delivery | Next day to 5 days | Parcels up to 70 kg, door to door |
| Pallet delivery | Standard, express or priority tier | 300–1,500 kg per pallet |
| FTL freight | Direct transit, set by lane | Full trailer loads |
| LTL freight | Longer than FTL on the same lane | Part loads from 500 to 10,000 kg |
Standard parcels to Germany and France arrive in 1–2 days, and international parcel delivery to Italy, Spain or Ireland takes 2–4 days.
Shipments that cannot wait for the standard parcel range move on express.
How fast is express delivery?
Express delivery arrives the next day, in a time-definite slot, at addresses across Europe.
Urgent contracts, spare parts and samples travel on next day delivery in Europe, arranged through the express services of the Go Trans carrier partners. The team confirms the delivery slot, the accepted size and the weight limit for the lane at booking.
Inside the Benelux corridor, an even faster option exists.
Where does same-day delivery reach?
Same-day delivery reaches addresses within 300–400 km of Belgium, covering all of Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the Lille and Paris corridor of northern France.
Lyon, Marseille and Bordeaux lie beyond that radius, which limits same-day delivery in Belgium to the domestic market and its nearest neighbours. Bookings must reach the carrier before its daily cut-off, and the team confirms the cut-off for each collection postcode.
Courier services run on hours. Road freight runs on days.
How long does road freight take?
Road freight from Belgium to Germany takes 2–3 days, and transit on other lanes depends on distance and load type.
FTL loads drive direct from collection to delivery, while LTL part loads join a consolidated trailer. That makes road freight from Belgium faster as a full load than as a part load on the same lane. The quote states the transit time, the vehicle type and the loading requirements for each lane.
Lane distance shapes every range above, and the destination country fixes it.
How long does delivery take to each country?
Parcels reach Belgium's neighbouring countries in same day to 2 days and the more distant EU markets in 2–4 days.
| Destination | Parcel transit from Belgium | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Belgium | Same day to next day | All services, including same-day |
| Netherlands | Same day to next day | Benelux same-day corridor |
| Luxembourg | Same day | Benelux same-day corridor |
| France | 1–2 days | Same-day to Lille and Paris |
| Germany | 1–2 days | Road freight 2–3 days |
| Austria | 2–3 days | DACH road corridor |
| Poland | 2–3 days | FTL available |
| Ireland | 2–4 days | Sea crossing on pallet and freight loads |
| Italy | 2–4 days | Southern addresses at the longer end |
| Spain | 2–4 days | Canary Islands follow separate import rules |
Truck loads move on a separate network from parcels, so European road freight transit times follow their own range for each destination country. Transit for the remaining 18 EU markets sits on each country's shipping page, with parcel, pallet, express and freight times listed by service.
A published range assumes a normal week, and five factors move a shipment outside it.
What changes a delivery time?
Late collection, public holidays, island or remote postcodes, incomplete address details and customs checks on non-EU lanes all extend a delivery time.
- Collection after the carrier cut-off: the shipment moves to the next working day.
- Public holidays: a holiday in the origin or destination country adds a day to standard services.
- Island and remote postcodes: a ferry or air leg adds transit to the mainland range.
- Incomplete address or contact details: the carrier holds the shipment until the receiver is confirmed.
- Non-EU lanes: customs clearance adds time on shipments to Türkiye and the UK.
These factors apply to delivery addresses in all 29 countries Go Trans covers, including island postcodes in Greece, Spain, Cyprus and Malta.
